Delicious Sugar Free Porridge Treats

Tasty low fat and zero sugar treats, that only take 10 minutes to prepare.  I made these last night and they are absolutely delicious. 

Ingredients:

235 g rolled oats

2 eggs

90 g blueberries 

40 g stevia

240 ml skimmed milk

15 g milled flaxseed

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

Stewed Apple:

One large cooking apple

1 tsp stevia

Water

Method:

Firstly make 120 g of Stewed Apple.  To do this peal and core a large cooking apple, chop and stew in some water with a tsp of stevia.  

While the apple is stewing, place all ingredients in a bowl and hand mix the ingredients with a spatula. Once the apple is ready add it to the mix and use the spatula to distribute it through the mix.  

Note: To cut down even more on time, use apple compote instead of making your own stewed apple.

Line a baking tray with grease proof paper and add mix.

Bake in oven for 25 – 30 minutes at 175 degrees celsius.  

Leave to cool on wire tray.  Once cool cut into squares.  I ended up with 12 squares.

Store in a air tight tin. 

Personally, I LOVE Cinnamon so the next time I make these I’ll add extra Cinnamon.
