At Revive Active, we're passionate about supporting grassroots community initiatives and fostering the growth of young athletes. That's why we're thrilled to announce our partnership with our Brand Ambassador and Liverpool FC footballing legend, Niamh Fahey, for an event that embodies our dedication to grassroots football.
On the historic grounds of Marine F.C. in Merseyside which is steeped in history and beloved by the Liverpool community, serves as the perfect venue for this celebration of girl power in sports, we'll be hosting an ‘Inspired On and Off the Pitch’ event on Monday, 20 May for 80 aspiring teenage girls. This event isn't just about playing the game; it's about inspiring, educating and empowering the next generation of football stars.
Niamh is passionate about using her platform to empower the next generation of female footballers. Her message is clear: while sport is fantastic and vital to our wellbeing, education and future careers are equally important. As she balances her football career with pursuing an MBA at Liverpool John Moore's University, Niamh is a shining example of what it means to dream big. She comments ‘I’m so excited about hosting this event and honoured to be able to bring together so many young women from the local community who share my passion for the game. I can’t wait to meet everyone and help share my knowledge and skills! Get online and book your place now!’
During the 90-minute coaching session on the 3G pitch, Niamh will lead the girls, sharing her skills and offering valuable tips to the group. But our commitment to these young athletes goes beyond football skills. We believe in nurturing the athlete, which is why we're also providing expert guidance on nutrition. Understanding the importance of fuelling their teenage bodies for optimal performance, the girls will gain valuable knowledge from our Nutritionist, Nicola Sainty.
This event couldn't come at a more pivotal time. With the women's game experiencing unprecedented growth and popularity, more girls than ever are stepping onto the pitch which has been fuelled by recent events like the Lionesses' victory in the European Championships in 2022 and the record-breaking success of last year's World Cup, drawing in massive attendances and viewership. According to Our Sporting Life , 777,000 girls play football in England as of December 2022 which is an increase from 669,000 just four years earlier.
As proud supporters of grassroots football, we're excited to be a part of this movement, inspiring a new generation of female players to pursue their dreams. Events like this serve as a catalyst for further growth, providing young girls with the support, guidance and inspiration they need to excel in the sport they love.
If you know any young female inspiring footballers who would love to join in the action, be inspired both on and off the pitch. This is for them! Complete the registration form 🔗 https://reviveactive.com/inspiredbyniamh
