]]>Dr. Fiona Barry was a key member of the Meno Active formulation team. She has extensive experience in women’s wellbeing and the use of botanical ingredients.
A graduate of UCC, Fiona holds an honours degree in Biomedical Sciences and a PhD in Pharmacology. Following several years of postdoctoral research in the area of cardiovascular medicine she altered her career path and undertook a four-year licentiate course in Chinese Medicine, studying in the prestigious College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in the UK. Since qualifying in 2004 she has continued to study various aspects of Chinese Medicine as well as other styles of acupuncture.
Fiona sat on the subcommittee for Herbal Medicines with HPRA (Health Products Regulatory Authority), formally IMB, for over 3 years and is employed by CICM as an examiner for their Conventional Medical Sciences module. She currently runs two very busy clinics, Comhar Acupuncture & Wellbeing, in her hometown of Cork and has her own podcast, The Wholehearted Health Coach.
Fiona has a special interest in treating fertility issues and women’s health conditions.
