Sustainability
Commitment
Our commitment to sustainability is driven from the top of our organisation through all levels and sections of the business. A review of our environmental performance is presented to the Company’s board at bi-monthly board meetings alongside a clear programme of advancement in areas such as energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Our Direct Impact On The Environment
As a growing business that operates across multiple sites, we measure our impact on the environment and continuously strive to reduce this. Technological advancements assist this process and embracing these across the company has led to;
- Regular Carbon baseline reporting
- 100% renewable energy used across all sites
- Investment in solar panels
- Zero chemical emissions
- Zero effluents and chemical waste
- Electric forklifts and lift trucks used in our manufacturing facility
- 80% of company vehicles are electric or plug-in hybrid with a commitment to achieve 100%
Product Sustainability
We produce a large volume pf products to serve both our retail and direct customers, therefore the reduction of impacts from packaging is central to our environmental commitment. It’s no surprise, that we’re constantly researching, sourcing and introducing new and more sustainable materials that can be used in the packaging and production process, whilst ensuring the quality of our product is not diminished.
- Our product development and value re-engineering processes are focused on minimising packaging waste
- Fully recyclable and biodegradable packaging used wherever possible
- Packaging sourced from sustainable or recycled sources wherever possible
- A full recycling program in place
Friend Of The Sea Certification
It's not just the sustainability of our packaging that’s key, we also actively strive to ensure the sustainability of our products.
Our Omega Active has been ethically and sustainably sourced to minimise the impact on our crucial marine ecosystems. Not only that, but Omega Active is Friend Of The Sea certified. This certification is the leading global standard to ensure purity and safety, nutrient quality, reduction of the environmental footprint and the conservation of marine habitats.
It is important to note that the Friend of the Sea certification is not a mandatory process. Our decision to pursue this certification reflects our dedication to going above and beyond standard requirements, emphasizing our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Driving Environmentalism In Our Community
While we’re investing in the sustainability of our company and our products, we’re part of a larger community, and the benefit of having over 70 staff is that we can make a difference! We set aside time each year to volunteer within our communities on environmental projects to put a little something back.
Whether it’s a beach clean in Galway, where our head office is located, or a more urban litter pick near the site of our manufacturing facility, we try wherever possible to have a positive impact on our wider environment.
